One Month Birthday!

It is so hard to believe that Tessa has been here for 4 weeks. It has gone so fast but at the same time it is like she has always been here. We are so blessed to have her and she is healthy and happy; she has definitely changed our family for the better.
Every day she seems to be more awake and alert. She is able to focus on faces and just yesterday we've started to look at pictures in books. She has learned or maybe I should say taught us how she likes to be held and what positions make her happy. She loves to have her feet rubbed, it has an instant calming effect. She is still not the biggest fan of baths, but is beginning to accept it is part of life. We continue to work on sleeping at night, but every night seems just that much easier.
Last night when I was holding her Dan asked me if I'm really starting to feel a strong bond to her and at that moment I realized just how much more I feel like I know her and feel connected to her. You love them when they are born because they are a part of you, but that unbreakable bond forms once you get to know this little baby. This time to be home with her is so wonderful, I am thankful for so much but especially to have this time to spend with her.
She decided to give me a present on her birthday. This was her very first blow out diaper, all the way through the onesie, pants, and blanket. You go girl!!

LOL! That blow out diaper is too funny!! :) That must be some good mommy milk to get a blowout that good. I bet she had a look of relief after she was done with that one. :)
